DSDHA were delighted to receive this award, given annually by The Worshipful Company of Chartered Architects to celebrate the contribution architecture brings to the civic life of the City of London, and which recognises both the design quality and the environmental credentials of the winning scheme.
Among a vast field of candidates, we were pleasantly surprised that the judges chose, unusually, to bestow the award on a public realm project this year, rather than on a building!
Designed with inclusivity and accessibility at its heart, Exchange Square was driven by our ambition to create a vibrant space that encourages engagement and interactivity - retrofitting nature into the heart of the City.
